These classic Swedish Hallongrottor (“raspberry caves”) are buttery, tender shortbread cookies with a bright, jewel-like center of sweet-tart raspberry jam. Baked just long enough for the butter and sugar to caramelize into a delicate golden edge, they deliver the perfect balance of rich, crumbly shortbread and fruity jam — an essential treat for traditional Swedish fika.

Handcrafted in small batches using founder Ulrika Pettersson’s grandmother’s treasured recipes and simple, high-quality ingredients. No palm oil, no soy, and no preservatives.

Ingredients

Unbleached flour (wheat, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, enzyme, folic acid), butter (pasteurized sweet cream [milk], lactic acid), cane sugar, raspberry jam (sugar, raspberry, water), vanilla sugar (or natural vanilla flavor), white distilled vinegar. (Some batches may also include a touch of sea salt.)
