Discover a true piece of French gastronomic heritage with Les Oublies de France Mirabelle. These ultra-thin, delicate lace wafers (also called oublies or fine lace pancakes) are handcrafted in Nancy, Lorraine, by the last remaining Maîtres Oubloyeurs of France.

Dating back to the Middle Ages, the oublie was originally prepared like a communion wafer or waffle between two heated iron plates, then often rolled into a light, hollow cylinder. Once sold by street vendors near churches and at nightfall, this traditional pastry is now revived with artisan care and infused with the golden, honeyed notes of Lorraine’s celebrated Mirabelle plum.

Crisp yet meltingly light, with a refined buttery-vanilla base lifted by the delicate sweetness and subtle fruitiness of Mirabelle, these wafers are perfect with coffee or tea, alongside ice cream or fruit, or simply savored on their own.

Product of France. Artisanally made in Nancy.

Ingredients (typical composition based on the traditional Les Oublies de Nancy recipe; Mirabelle version includes natural flavoring or essence of the plum):

Wheat flour (gluten), eggs, water, sugar, butter (milk), cream (milk), salt, milk powder, raising agents (disodium diphosphate, sodium carbonate), natural vanilla flavoring (and natural Mirabelle flavoring).

May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, and sesame.
