Kale Quinoa Cakes - 4 of 3 oz. each

It's... superfoods! Quinoa is an ancient grain beloved as a complete protein and kale is a leafy green dense in antioxidants and nutrients - both are packed with flavor that'll save the day. We've blended fresh kale and quinoa with roasted red peppers and a savory blend of Parmesan and Asiago, then made them into easy-to-serve, tasty-to-eat cakes that work as an appetizer or side dish. Recommended as a fulfilling vegetarian option or as a complement with your favorite protein.

Please do not thaw. Stove-Top: Remove cakes from package. Heat cooking oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Carefully place quinoa and kale cakes in pan. Cover pan and sauté for approximately 8-10 minutes, turning over every 2 minutes. Oven: Preheat oven to 450°F. Remove cakes from package. Place on a lightly oiled sheet pan and bake for 25-30 minutes turning over once half way through cooking. Microwave (1100 Watt): Remove cakes from packaging and place 4 kale cakes on a microwave safe plate. Place in microwave and cook on high for 4 minutes. Let rest 1 minute before serving. Please note that the cakes will not brown and crisp like they will in the pan or oven.
