The sausage is named after that city: Nürnberger Bratwurst (Nuremberg bratwurst). It is a traditional specialty of Nuremberg in the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany.

These slender, finger-sized pork bratwurst come from the historic German city of Nürnberg, where they have been a street-food classic for centuries. Traditionally served three to a soft bun (Drei im Weckla) with mustard, they also make a perfect breakfast sausage or easy weeknight side.
