Paula Deen's Meatloaf
Not Your Ordinary Meatloaf - absolutely delicious!!!
So very moist and delicious. All the veggies are all minced, so your kids won’t even notice the good-for-you veggies!
1 cup fine fresh garlic & herb bread crumbs (panko or favorite bread)
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium red pepper, finely chopped
1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
2 tablespoons your favorite extra virgin olive oil (we love Cucina & Amore)
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon Sola Cajun Seasoning (click to order)
3 tablespoons of Holmsted Fines Balsamic Red Onion Chutney (click to purchase)
1/2 pound ground pork
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 pound ground Wagyu Beef
2 large eggs
1/3 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
1/2 cup black pepper ketchup (we use Melinda's - click to purchase)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Soak bread crumbs in milk in a large bowl.
Meanwhile, cook onion, garlic, red & green peppers in extra virgin olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Cover skillet and reduce heat to low, then cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in Worcestershire sauce, Sola Cajun Seasoning, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper. Add to bread crumb mixture.
Finely chop parsley and add onion mixture, Holmsted Fines Balsamic Red Onion Chutney along with ground turkey, sirloin, pork, eggs and mix together with your hands. Add the 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of milk to the mixture, add the red & green peppers onion mixture and continue to mix altogether thoroughly.
Pack mixture together into a loaf and place in a shallow baking dish. Spread black pepper ketchup over top and bake for approximately 1 1/4 hours.
Sit for 5 - 10 minutes and serve! Even grab two slices of your favorite bread and have a sandwich too! Yummy!! So very flavorful!
