Gangstad Gårdsysteri itself has a rich history: the farm has been in the family since 1913, and the dairy operation began in 1998 as Norway’s first authorized farm-based cow’s milk cheese producer. Today, it’s operated by three generations, producing around 10 varieties of cheese alongside ice creams and other local products, emphasizing sustainable, farm-to-table practices in a region celebrated for its gastronomy.
